COVID-19, also known as coronavirus, threatens to become the worst pandemic our world has seen in a century. It is during these difficult times that we must stand together as one, more than ever before.  These challenging days force us to revert to our humble nature and show more proof of the traits that define it, such as kindness, generosity, compassion, love, social intelligence – in one word ‘Empathy’.

EMPATHY is a skill so valuable that no amount of money can buy it and no text book can teach it to you. As our world gets smaller and smaller, the value of being able to understand what people are thinking, invest in their emotions, and use those insights to offer compassion and problem solving has grown exponentially. Those with high empathy are sought after for everything from brokering business deals to the fine art of negotiation to curing the ills of the world. Whether you struggle with finding compassion for your fellow man or want to hone your empathy skills as sharply as possible, we need to simplify the path to Empathy through structured and do-able habits. We ought to understand the “hows” and “whys” of the empathic process, break down how to improve  our own empathy, and inspire ourselves with powerful case studies that show just how limitless our accomplishments can be when we practice empathy over the span of a lifetime.

Many of us are fortunate to l have a life where Covid-19  has not taken away food from our tables. Let us make our hearts see the plight of the many who are struggling to make end meets. Let us reach out to them and help them in ways we can. Our Emapthy at these time will cure, heal and inspire many towards the greater good of humanity.

In my book ‘Empathy Is Far More More Valuable Than Diamonds’, I have delved deep into the layers of behavior to find a structure which all of us can benefit from by inculcating within us Empathy as our guiding light.
